Information for spectators attending IHSA Boys and Girls Golf Matches this season: No spectator carts will be permitted. Spectators must maintain social distancing regardless of the position on the golf course. Spectators must wear masks at all times. Spectators should be discouraged from giving participants objects like food, water, umbrellas, etc. If they do give a participant such an object, they should do so quickly and then return to social distancing.

This is just a reminder for all HHS students participating in remote and in-person learning. Students will need to report to their homerooms on the following days and times next week: Monday, August 17 8:30-10:30 Seniors (Chrome books will be distributed at this time) 1:00-3:00 Juniors Tuesday, August 18 8:30-10:30 Sophomores 1:00-3:00 Freshman All students will need to bring their chrome books fully charged, wear their school issued “Bulldog” mask that they received at registration, and be prepared for temperature checks before entering the building. If a student does not attend the homeroom for whatever reason, an appointment will need to be made for a time and date later in the week. You can call the office for that appointment. Hope to see everyone on Monday and Tuesday.

HHS students and parents, We will need all students (remote or in-person) to come to the high school on the following dates and times. On Monday, August 17, Seniors will need to report to homeroom from 8:30-10:30 (you will receive your chrome books at this time) and Juniors will need to report to homeroom from 1:00-3:00. On Tuesday, August 18, Sophomores will need to report to homerooms from 8:30-10:30 and Freshman will need to report to homerooms from 1:00-3:00. The purpose of the homeroom is to go through opening of the school year information, review the handbook, take diagnostic tests as time permits, and get specific instructions on how to use the chrome book the school district provided. Unit # 3 students and parents, I wanted to provide an update on our plan regarding the opening of school for the 2020-2021 school year. We were provided a 100+ page document from the state on Thursday evening that we are going through currently to determine if needed changes to our plan are needed. We also are considering the increasing number of cases in our area to help us determine the best path possible. We want all of you to understand that we are making an attempt to consider everyone and their concerns regarding this plan. However, our final determination as administrators and a School Board will be what is in the best interest of our student's safety and education. That has to be the determining factor for us at the end of the day. We have re-posted the survey regarding parents and their thoughts on sending students back to school. We decided to re-post this due to how the situation has changed in regards to cases in our area since it was last posted. Thank you again for your patience as we continue this journey to make the best decision for our children. We put a plan out as early as we could to make sure you had some information, but we made sure to let you know we expected it to change. We just want you to know that changes to our initial plan is still a very distinct possibility and we will keep you informed as our vision for a solution to this plan becomes more clear to the district. For the 4th straight year Harrisburg FFA is the Section 25 Premier Chapter. We also had a clean sweep winning the Building Communities, Growing Leaders, and Strengthening Ag Areas for Section 25. This awards recognizes the hard work all of the members put in throughout the year.

Reminder for Harrisburg High School Athletes: sports physicals will still be required this season. All athletes are encouraged to make an appointment sooner than later to be able to participate in a sport this year.
